Dung Beetles will work but you have to change the shape of the solder blob...

I built 2, so I could wire them balanced for double the awesome.

I read somewhere that you need floating inputs, but dont understand how an input can float when there is a ceiling above it in most buildings. Rather than move the device outside I decided it would be easier to simply burn a 1" hole through any structure above it with the use of a high power laser.

Despite never undertaking a project anything like this before I built the devices into a pyramid shaped case with the addition of the laser pointing upwards because I have Luxor envy (also nagra envy). Now that there is no ceiling above the amp the inputs are free to float anywhere between ground and sky.

Using a laser to burn a hole through your ceiling is overkill. If you want to have floating inputs you just need to put them between a cat and a toast with butter, and they will float. But be careful, don't put the butter facing the cat's back or you will cause a singularity that may lead to earth destruction.

Remember, the side with butter always facing up.

Yes, but what kind of bread? White? Wheat? Rye? Or dare I say, marble rye?

I built mine with marble rye.

I found that adding a little cheese on top improved the top end but

adding butter made the bass sound sloppy.

You can fix that by adding a slice of ham, everybody knows that ham helps tightening the bass. Anyway, bread is irrelevant, the most important here is the cat. Be sure to use only the finest persian cats (sphynx cats also work fine, but I find they sound too furless for my taste, not my cup of cat).

Remember: cats are the weakest link in your system.

I couldn't afford a good quality cat. I had to use the fat old orange tabby I had

laying around. Maybe thats why the magic smoke kept getting out once in a while...

I'll have to save up for a better cat I guess. blink.gif
