There will be many that say, "how could it be any easier than just drag and drop?" Some(but not all) of the drag/droppers are quite strident in their opinion that their method is clearly superior, and scoff at those who prefer to use a music manager.

Others, on the opposite end of the spectrum,  will say it doesn't get any easier than the iPod+iTunes interface. I don't have iTunes, as the only iPod I have had was rockboxed so I didn't need it, so I don't know how easy it may or may not be to use.

I'm inclined to think there is no one answer....it varies from person to person. I have gone the drag/drop route in the past.....I did that for a while after I got fed up with Windows Media Player a couple years back. Perfectly acceptable method, but perhaps best suited for those who simply listen to album by entire album. A bit of a generalization? Maybe....that's why I said "perhaps". tongue_13.gif

Back when I was still learning codecs, rippers, transcoders, etc., I was recommended MediaMonkey, and I grew to really appreciate it....I even eventually bought the Gold upgrade. Is it perfect? No....some like other programs better (we were discussing it in one of the J3 threads over the last couple days) but for me it's my DAP manager. I would never buy a Zune, for example,  because it wouldn't let me use MM. Most people can be served just fine with the free Mediamonkey. It is also a podcast grabber, if those are your thing.

There is a learning curve, perhaps, because there are a ton of different things that it can do...but it is my program of choice for my podcasts and DAP's. My lossy library is there, and my FLACs are kept in foobar, as I am of the opinion that lossless is an unnecessary waste of space on a DAP. L3000.gif
