Are the ES8 Cables Westone branded  but modified by Jaben? OR are they normal cables by Jaben?

I'm pretty sure Jaben is its own brand.

Could anyone tell me if they are the same connector body as the stock TF10 cables? the reason I'm asking is because I'm looking to have a broken pair of TF10's remolded with a recessed socket, and was planning on sending my stock cable for them to fit it with.

or is the whole recessed cable idea just a bad one?

They're the same connectors but they don't always perfectly fit in (though they never come off).
