For Sale:
FS: Sony MDR-SA5000 [SOLD]

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Hi,

I'm selling my SA5000's which were bought in july 2008 from a fellow head-fier. They are in mint condition, with the exception of the left cord which is somewhat loose (soldering or something), and I have to adjust the cable to a proper position to receive soundsignals from that channel. I bought the HD650-cable and went to a local store to get it recabled, but it cost $150, so I thought I'd rather sell it to someone who can do it for less or even themselves. I have no clue how to recable headphones, so I didn't even bother trying. The HD650-cable will of course be included in this sale.

Original packaging, stand & HD650-cable included.

The last six SA5000's being sold on these forums was sold for $290, $285, $270, $300, $290 and $310. All including shipping within CONUS.

I'm asking $220 + shipping.

Shipping within Europe = $44 (Total $264)

Shipping to rest of the world = $53 (Total $273)

Paypal only.

Idk much about these, but you should TOTALLY go out on a limb and attempt the cable repair.. it's not too hard, even with a CHEAP soldering iron! As long as you get the headphones apart to access the solder joints, there is not TOO much you can screw up to make it WORSE as long as you use common sense and general care. Then you could probably still sell them if for some reason it doesn't work out, but my money is on you being capable!

Hey, thanx for the support :)

But really, I'm planning on selling them nontheless, it's only a matter of profit. I guess I could have charged $250 + shipping for them if they were recabled. But to get them recabled I have to pay $150 like mentioned. And then the profit is only $100.
