So, I left my speakers out for a party, and I noticed halfway though the night that they were sounding kind of weird. It didn't look like anyone was physically abusing them (they were in the same position (in the corner) etc) I unplugged them anyways to maybe save them. I assume it is just because they were playing at a loud volume for a long time.
Today I did some investigating.
Speaker 1:
I don't hear any bass or lows, even with the bass maxed out.
Speaker 2:
The bass seems to rattle.
Anyways, these are my dad's old speakers (Mission 770-2). They are like 20 or so years old and I have only listened to them for like 10-20 hours so I can't vouch for their condition before hand.
They aren't worth too much to me, ie I don't want to pay more than like ~$60 to get them fixed.
I was just wondering if there is any chance I can fix them. I have no experience in this whatsoever, but I figure I might as well look.
Anyone have any input on the matter, or good links on basic speaker repair?

that appears to be my problem. That foam stuff is 90% gone.
