Current setup:
iMac >
Pico USB DAC/Amp >
CryoParts Via Blue 3.5mm / Furutech FP-602F (R) >
Denon AH-D2000 (10ft 22g Jena / Furutech FP-601M (R) recable + Markl mod + Sheoak cups)
So far I have my heart set on buying...
Benchmark DAC-1 USB (£950.58 UK)
http://www.benchmarkmedia.com/dac/dac1-usb
..either a
GS-X Headphone Amp/Pre-amp ($2575 = £1,650 UK)
http://www.headamp.com/home_amps/gsx/index.htm
or
RudiStor RPX300 (2200€ = £1,865 UK)
http://www.rudistor.com/RPX300.htm
I realise these are frickin expensive when the prices are combined.
Are there any awesome balanced alternatives which play nice with Denons and won't cain my wallet so hard?
Edit: Or should I just prepare to be £2,500+ less well off, and know I have a sweet dac & amp that I won't need or want to replace?
Also, are these ever sold second hand? Seems pretty rare to find them..
Cheers in advance!
