I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...
Sennheiser HD-598s are the most comfortable headphones I've had the opportunity to use. I recommend these wholeheartedly for any first-time hi-fi buyer because of their excellent soundstage and...
I just received my SigPros (bought from a fellow head-fi'er), and now have several hours with them. They are great headphones. Agree with most of what everyone's saying about them. These...
Beats out the Bose Triport, the HD 202 and HD 435s, the AT M35 and AT M50. Just try it and see. Extremely comfortable (I wear mine while commuting and studying, for about 5+ hours a day). Bought...
Frankly, I am intend to get a pair of Xcape since it is quite high rated and affordable to me. But one question: the D2 16ohm and Xcape 32ohm, do they need an amp to get together? I am inexperienced in audiophile so please teach me.
D2 as in Cowon D2? If it is so, then the listed 16 ohm is how the output is tested (using a 16 ohm load), but it doesn't mean D2 only supports 16 ohm headphones. D2 will be fine driving Xcape.
Yes, it is the Cowon. Thank you a lot for your opinion :). But then will an amp make any different ? Besides I'll get a Clip on hand soon. Would you suggest me the Clip or Clip+? Because I've seen some discussion on the different of sound between them, and issues on the Clip + as well (with a sd card)
Beside on what amp, you might get some improvement, but I don't think it will worth the extra money. As for Clip vs. Clip+, I'll choose Clip+ solely on the microSD slot.
Why buy a sansa clip when you have a Cowon? Friend of mine has a Cowon D2 and Sansa clip+ (rockboxed) and he uses his D2 much more. The D2 sounds better, has a better battery and has more capabilities.
I have a Cowon U3 and a Sansa clip (rockboxed), but I like my Cowon much more. Same reasons.
You don't need to amp the d2 since it has more than enough power to drive the headphones.
looks like your answer (plus a lot of compliment on D2) has me draw back from the Clip :). Maybe I should save that money for a 32GB card for D2 ^____^
