Install Windows natively using Boot Camp and it will be no different than any other Windows PC out there. Thats what I do. The only time I go back to OS X is to sync my iPhone or iPad, since Apple won't release a driver to charge my iPad via USB in Windows but it charges fine via USB in OS X.

So what would someone with a Windows PC have to do if they have an iPad, get a wall charger?

That depends on the motherboard of the computer. Some manufacturers have released updates that put out the extra power required for the iPad. Most haven't though.

iPad comes with a 10w USB wall charger though. It's just stupid on Apple's part to not allow USB charging on their own computers in Windows but allow it in OS X.

I'm surprised they haven't figured out a way to make Windows impossible to run on a Mac....they do love their walled garden.smily_headphones1.gif

No kidding. Heres a nice little fun fact: They only support 64-bit kernel for OS X on newer machines. Even though all of the Core 2 Macs should support it, they only allow it on a handful of newer machines. On those same machines they won't allow Windows 7 x64 to run. Only 32-bit. But theres a few easy ways around that restriction. The one I use is to just enable the hidden administrator account in Windows 7 and run the Boot Camp installer from there.

Guess what? Windows 7 x64 runs great. Better than Snow Leopard in my opinion.

Nice, I didn't know there was a workaround.

@ OP

Install Windows via bootcamp & get the X7.

I'm on Windows, however, i want to keep my primary OS clean, so i installed VirtualBox (available on http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads ), and installed Windows XP from some old CD inside. Zune Software works great on that virtual XP system, and there is no problem in connecting Zune to virtual system (VirtualBox supports USB devices redirection).

I've never had a single problem in uploading music on both Zune 120 and Zune HD, and since the only difference between you and me is the host system (and VirtualBox is available for OS X), it should work for you.
