I for one really trust head direct but my parents are sceptical so a little help plz

Why not show them all the great feedback on Amazon.com?

As in head-direct? I bought my re-0 from them no problem. I can safely say loads of ppl here have bought stuff from them and they come out with quality stuff most of the time. Suppose to have good customer service. Other than that I dont noe what other proof i can get you. Oh and they are one of our sponsors.

ya but has anyone actually contacted the customer service is what i wanta know and what should i get re ZERO or Senn hd 558

I've emailed them plenty of times and never had an issue. It may take them a few days to respond sometimes but they are a small scale operation and probably with not too many people on their CS team. They are a company I would trust my money with and I would buy from them again if they had something of interest to me.

Yes I have and am about to send my headphones in for a replacement. Once again I am sure a lot of people have also done similarly before. Wish they would take e-mail as a form of customer service but if you need to contact them you can use windows live messenger or call(if you are in the us).

They do, email head.direct.customerservice@gmail.com

I used that e-mail to contact them because my RE0's recently broke, and they're replacing them even though they're a month out of warranty, great customer service.

A year ago I bought RE2 from them.  You don't pay taxes, just the USD-CAD difference. They marked the item as gift so no customs charges. If they don't for you, or you get unlucky, there might be some charges. (I don't know how much) The same thing is valid for the US route, too, I guess. It took two-three week for RE2 to arrive from China, so US to Canada might be faster.

IIRC, no specific duty on headphones, but if customs catches it (unlikely, but can happen), you get to pay GST + PST or HST depending on the destination province.

US to Canada is, depending on shipping method, sometimes as slow, sometimes faster.  Customs appear to ding stuff from US more than stuff from Hong Kong.

Also good to know, sometimes Canada Customs will hold your package for a MONTH and then release it without having you pay duty. Happened to me once.  Pretty frustrating since they didn't charge anything in the end, so it was just a total waste of time for them and for me normal_smile%20.gif

You can read more topics here: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/list/87

Or read my experiences here: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/498478/failing-customer-service

In the future I will buy something that I can return without any hassle. That's why I bought my new PFE perfect bass in a local webshop.

Is there are reason why your parents don't trust Head-Direct?  Not a brand name?

If you are not very specific on what you are going to get, try Bugden Audio. It is located in BC, so no customs issues and they ship free with Canada post expited parcel. no pst if you are outside BC. they have a decent selection of hp's like fischer and sunrise ones. you maybe able to be find a substitute for whatever you want to get. For example, Sw-Xcape is rated similar to RE0s cost less than them. And you will get them 3-4 days!
