Need opinions on Monster T pro copper and UM3x

Hey all,

im new to this forum and quite noob at this stuff so bare with me here =D.

Planning to get myself a early christmas present this month, but having slight trouble choosing which one.

Hope to get more opinions from you guys so i can bring myself to a conclusion on which to get.

1) Monster Turbine Pro Copper

2) Westone UM3X

They both go around the same price and well, just want to get something that i will be happy for spending $300+ for, ive been searching this forum and google about these and well, honestly, cant make up my mind.

Ok now just to tell you my tastes in music. I listen to quite alot of genre's, mainly classical, pop and some with base. Not a person who prefers heavy base, but i also dont prefer it being transparent ( hope you all can understand this, its hard to put this in words). I pretty much guess i prefer more of a balanced sound. Planing to get a portable amp.( heard amps work wondrous with the UM3x)

Im actually leaning towards  Monster turbine only because it has control talk which is nice to have but i don't want that to be the only reason for choosing it over UM3x. Tried searching for control talk or something similar for UM3x didn't get anything.

Any opinions or help is greatly appreciated!.

Personally havent heard any of them but judging but how most threads with the name monster here goes, its best not mentioned is my policy. I think the general opinion on head-fi is that the monsters are generally good but way over-priced. The Um3x are supposedly very well-rated but a little transperant. Anyways as I have not heard either of them dont take my word for it!

Monster is often overpriced, but the Turbine line is actually rather worthy of their value.

The choice between Pro Copper and UM3X will be whether you prefer a more neutral phone or a warmer phone. The UM3X is more neutral-sounding compared to the Pro Copper. So, if you want something balance-sounding, I'll put my vote to the UM3X.

I agree that the price of turbine is a "wow" well for me that is, but if im going to get something well over 300 why not get a right one for me =D.

Appreciate the opinions, hoping to get more before i make my final decision .!
