Unless you're spending big money on a rig (and by that, I mean well into 4 figures) I'd just stick to Monoprice or Blue Jeans. For future reference, when you get into the serious gear, if cables make any significant difference, it's usually a slight difference in the overall tonality (eg: some that use a lot of silver) with reputable (now that's a seriously loaded word) designs having a bit less distortion than the usual cheap ones.

Blue Jeans make good quality cables at a sensible price- I have a bunch of them. Good choice.
That's one thing that kboe and I agree on!

Look, look way, way over there... I think I see, is, is that common ground over there!
As long as were actually helping the newcomers, that's all I care about.
Let us know how the cables work for you when you get them.

If you are looking for a "mini-jack" -> RCA cable then I think you will be able to obtain one easily for a sensible price.
It looks like the Blue Jeans cable will do well for this.
A problem I have with mini-jacks is that sometimes they are not a good fit in the socket and can give an unreliable connection. So if I were you I'd keep the receipt and use the cable for a while and make sure that the mini-jack is a good connection before throwing away the receipt.
Over the years I have gathered four of these mini-jack to RCA cables in total. I actually have one "audiophile" one. All four of my mini-jack <-> RCA cables sound the same.
I notice that someone mentioned a cable for $100. I think that is a lot of money to pay for one of these cables.
Beware these very expensive cables that claim magical properties. These are a con plain and simple. You will see people make all kinds of claims for these cables but they do not do blind ABX tests, instead they just report auto-suggestion.
Only buy from honest cable manufacturers who make honest well-made cables and do not claim magical properties or use barmy pseudo-science.
There is a lot of conning going on with cables at present, don't waste money on it please.

At least grab a cable with gold-plated plugs.

I use this 1 here; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xxion-Ultimate-Interconnect-Die-cast-Individually/dp/B00407B3OQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1291288473&sr=8-11 , it's a cheap solid cable.
If your using a cable with a laptop i would recommend you get a sheilded 1 since theres most likely to be interference around.

I agree, as someone who uses expensive cables, purchased 2nd hand or built DIY for best value. A little bit of an improvement can add up to a lot over many hours of listening. Anyway, that's going off topic. I think the OP has been given good advice by everyone. :)
