LOD for the iTouch 3rd Gen?

I think this is the proper place for this, if not, my apologies.

 

Currently my setup is iTouch 3rd Gen --> JH 5's, and I have a small cmoy amp which I really enjoy using.  However, I read that using the LOD instead of the hpo gives a cleaner signal, and a better sound?

 

So while looking around for a LOD to grab, I read that they changed the pins between the 1st gen and the 2nd+ gen iTouches, meaning that the LOD I get may not work.

Is anyone able to confirm that they did change it, or that this would work with my iTouch?
