First of all, i know this is very computer audio-esk but i rather post here, as the computer audio forum is more of "omg halpz, what headphones do i get lulz" blink.gif

I was previously looking very hard at the Xonar ST, but a new gem is going to be released by Auzentech, the X-Meridan 7.12G.

Here are some specs:

~C-Media CMI8788 Oxygen HD PCI Audio Processor

~PCI 2.2 Interface with Bus Mastering and Burst Modes

~4 synchronous I2S output pairs

~4pcs Digital to Analog Converters: AKM AK4396 120dB 192kHz 24-Bit Advanced Multi-Bit Stereo Delta Sigma DAC

~Advanced Driver Software Architecture (ADSA )

~and finally "Proprietary Pointing Ground Design shares one pint for DAC, OPAMP, Power Supply and Output Jack for maximum signal with minimum noise or distortion."

I'm a complete noob to soundcard/DAC design. Does anybody think this can stand up to, or surpass the Xonar ST?
