Apple now has a battery replacement service for $100.

The guys who made that video are a couple of idiots who were trying to further their film careers.

Apple offers a replacement service for $99.

Apple offers a two-year extended warranty that includes the battery for $59.

The replacement plan existed before the film was released. And the batteries linked to above have been available for months (for older iPods, about a year). So the entire film was bogus.

The sad thing is that the two guys who made the film even admitted that they knew all this before they released the file. As I said above, it was little more than PR for their film careers.
