Need a Power Conditioner <$200?

Anyone know of any cheap power conditioners?  Would a backup battery help at all?  My apt has bad wiring and everytime someone uses the printer or something the lights flicker and my amp drops out.

This looks like a good one.

 

For another product that sounds like it uses the exact filtration and surge protection but provides galvanic isolation (or some type of isolation I assumed it to be galvanic) look at the Brickwall audio offerings:

Monster power MP2500 for less than $200. i use to use one in my DJ rig. It sounds like the voltage is dropping, so you might consider a UPS unit as a first step. Most of them are pretty noisy, so a power conditioner like the Furman would be a good idea to put in line after the UPS. Furman also makes some cool rack mount power units that have lights on the front and a bunch of outlets on the back ...though most folks don't like rack gear. I've bought Furman (and other stuff) from eBay seller audiosavings and been happy with the service and product.

the belkin pure av pf30l looks quite good. I think its been discontinued though.

 

EDIT:did some more research and it looks like its been replaced with the pf30

seems like decent price?  I dont think Ill ever need more than 2 outlets right? DAC and amp only?

What you need is a UPS system, with a battery.

When the lights flicker, that's from a voltage sag. Buying a conditioner would be like putting an extra gas filter on your car when it is sputtering because it's low on gas.

A UPS will keep the voltage constant, even when the line sags. Don't confuse the sag with noise, and keep in mind that your amp already has filtering and power regulation built in. That's what a power supply is for. Don't end up unnecessarily filter the power twice while leaving yourself unprotected from line sags.

Nice find thecoolguy!  Thats a really good price for the pf30.  I've been using mine with my TV and speaker set up for a few years.  I don't know if it doesn't anything amazing but its nice to have a piece of mind that my gear is protected.  At $60, I'm thinking of picking up another one..
