Good news? from iRiver Japan..

Found out that iRiver japan is offering battery change
for IFP-5XX series and IHP-1XX series.
both IFP-5XX and IHP-1XX series offer internal
rechargeable battery.

They are offering this starting Feburuary 2nd 2004 .

iRiver Japan said they are doing this with large request.
the price of change battery is

IFP-5XX series - 2500yen excluding shipping and tax.
IHP-1XX series - 3000yen excluding shipping and tax.

as i know 2500 yen is equal to $25 and
3000 yen is equal to $30.

i think it will happen in US too. but as you can see
they are starting this event Feb 2004
so it might happen in US later than Feb, since IHP and IFP
series came out later than Japan.

So what do you guys think about this?

wooo looking good - go iriver - i hope aus isnt too slow on the uptake with this - and i hope my battery lasts a long long time

personally i think $30 to replace iHP's li-ion poly battery is an amazing price...

definately. especially considering the outrageous price that rotten apple of a company is charging for their replacement service...

The Yen rate actually makes this deal a tad sweeter:

Y2500 = 23.15
Y3000 = 27.77

You just HAD to go there didn't ya...Well, you'll get what you deserve I guess...be prepared to have this thread turned into a crap flinging fest UNLESS those who would usually eat comments like this for breakfast agree to turn their heads because they realize that the comment came from someone's ass.

(Ya see yall, I've learned MY lesson... )

And no, I don't have an iPod, I own an IHP-120...so I'm not defending etc...Just tired of seeing perfectly good threads going off topic, and having everyone forget why they were reading it in the first place.
