Wow, the stupid flag just hit a new high water mark. Sheesh, what if I don't use the CD-R or CD-RWs to copy music onto? What if I only use this stuff to back-up data and such? Man, this is stupendously stupid and catering once again to those with money and power to get more of both.
Does this law also mean that all hard drives will taxed also? Why stop at just these media. If this law passes it will open the door to compensate anyone for anything.
Sheesh, I guess if McDonalds loses money to Burger King we should impose a tax on KFC to make up for the losses that McDonlds suffers.
Hey, if this passes does anyone want to open a huge store near the Canadian border in order to sell tons of recordable media to those who want to cross the border into the US to buy stuff at a GREATLY reduced price??

Or stay smart and buy for less in the US
