any IEMs similar to Grado SR80?

i currently have:

Senn cx400 (+cx300 somewhere)

AKG K518DJ (my parent's)

Grado SR80 (mine)

 

 

I mainly listen to rock/punk rock/metal/classic rock

The source is iAudio9
 

I really love how clear and sharp the SR80 sounds, but it lacks bass

The CX400 and the AKG have the bass but sound soft and nowhere as clear as the grados 

 

Are there any IEM that sound like the open SR80s (but preferably with a bit more bass)?

 

the budget is 100-200$

currently i am considering the DBA02,Panasonic HJE900 and the mosnter turbine (gold/copper are probably above my budget)

 

The problem with the grados is that i cant sleep with them on me, and cant take them in my pocket along with my mp3.

Are you using bowl pads? If so, did you try the tape mod on the 80s? You just put black electrician's tape around the perimeter of the pads, and it gives the 80s a nice, natural bass boost. I have had mine a long time, and they definitely improved after that mod. As for IEMs that sound like the 80s, someone with more expertise might be of help. The DBAs are certainly a good option for SQ, but they may not be the same as the 80s.

That one is. there is a new one at 3:45 - 60% off should be around 60-70$

The original Turbines are a good choice. I found their signature very Grado-like, but also improved in all the important areas. Guitar distortion is great on the Turbines.
