I'm thinking of finally getting a Blu-Ray player. One of my joys of watching DVDs though is using the Pioneer SE-DIR800c for Dolby Headphone. Can a Blu-Ray player that uses DTS re-encode be used with the SE-DIR800C? I'm thinking I would need this for those discs that don't have the standard 5.1 or DTS audio tracks and only have Dolby TruHD ot DTS-HD.
Edit: I've done a little more research and now I'm a little more confused. I've read that if a Blu-Ray disc has DTS-MA it already contains a max bitrate DTS signal which will be sent by default via SPDIF. If this is the case then I could still use the SE-DIR800C with the optical cable, correct? It seems the re-encode is only useful for Dolby TrueHD and PCM tracks. Not owning any Blu-Rays, do most have an MA track or at least standard 5.1?
