What should my signal flow be?

Alright, first off I'd like to say happy Thanksgiving to my fellow audio lovers!

I recently purchased a pair of slightly used D2000s off of Amazon and I have been in the process of finishing the burn in. I am currently away from my home setup listening through my laptop headphone out which is alright for now.

My question is about what equipment I should by and how the signal should flow from my home setup.

At home I have a Mac G5 which is using an Mbox2 as a soundcard for my studio monitors. I use itunes typically when listening to my music.

I am considering purchasing the Fiio E7/E9 combo, would this be reasonable to get both? I do not really know how the two interact and compliment each other with their functions. So, considering that I have an Mbox2, would I be running an output out of that into the E7/E9?

i would really like someone to explain all of this to me as I am finding this a little confusing as a relative newbie to hifi equipment.

The D2000s are a terrific way to get into the headphone world.  The Filo gear I've only briefly heard but was none to impressed.  For the price the uDAC or a HeadRoom Bithead would be a great entry to the amp/dac portion of this world.  The Bithead is on sale right now at headroom too.

I think for portability the udac, hotaudio stuff are great.  There are tons of options to choose from, audio-gd sparrow is nice for an all in one item, as well the audinst HUD-MX1 is another.  If you really want a nice quality all in one package (DAC/Amp) take a look at the Sparrow.  Down side is when you (if you) ever upgrade there is no dedicated RCA outputs for the DAC, which is fine for some amps but source sensitive amps won't like it.
