I received this Columbia Titanium jacket yesterday. It was a gift from a relative in China (PRC).
It didn't come with any tags or packaging (fine, UPS box). It has a fleece inner detachable jacket.
But the thing looks and feels fake. I didn't take any pictures, but here are the problems:
1. Poorly done stitches. Some threads are already coming off leaving behind little holes. Some velcro pads are half loose.
2. Inconsistency in printing. It says Made in China in English, but Made in Thailand in French, German, Spanish and probably Italian.
3. The "Columbia Sportswear Company" embroidering is blurry (not neat).
4. It says "Omni Tech" on a poorly printed tag inside the jacket, but a blurry "Gore-Tex XCR" is embroidered on the left sleeve.
So... fake? It does keep me warm (wore it today), but if it really is a fake, I'd rather wear my worn-out Kaiser leather jacket.
