Reference Recordings

Thread Starter

I've got a certificate gift from http://www.referencerecordings.com/Catalog.asp, i examined the catalog but i don't know almost any performers..

I like alt rock (nothing in there), rock (nothing), pop (nothing), jazz (the ones listed i don't know), and the classical one, well, unless someone can convince...

Thanks for your feedback.

Reference Recordings doesn't do rock. Just off beat audiophile recordings. They do however have a few gems in their modest catalog. Try Dick Hyman's From The Age Of Swing. Music from the 1935-1940 period. Seven musicians, unamplified wonderfully recorded sound. If your toes aren't tapping to the music by the 2nd track you must be something missing. If you want to expand your horizons there are also 2 excellent classical recordings; Sibelius - Symphony #2, (Barbirolli conducting The Royal Philharmonic) and Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade (Serebrier conducting London Philharmonic Orchestra)

Good luck!
