Okay, so here's my rant: I'm in the process of downgrading from house to apartment (boo-hoo me, and yeah, it sucks!) and as of now, I'm more or less still staying in the house, as there's some overlap in the residency. So I purchased an item and had it shipped to my new apartment address, thinking stupidly, I guess, that the delivery person, be it UPS, Fedex, or USPS would leave the box at the leasing office if I wasn't home (which I figured I wouldn't be).
The package was supposed to be delivered today and I called the leasing office to see if anything came in for me. I was told nothing came. I wasn't really surprised by this due to the snowstorm that we've had within the last day or so. So just a few minutes ago I go onto the UPS site to check on delivery status and, yessiree, it's been delivered. Left at the front door at 4:26 pm today.
I just thought it common sense that not a sole on earth would leave a package at the front door of an apartment in a huge complex. So now I've got to swing by the new place on my way into work tomorrow just to see if the package made it through the afternoon/night sitting there in all its temptatious glory. Most of me thinks, "Why bother?" but there's a small, tiny part that still hopes for human kindness and non-thieving neighbors.
I mean this complex is rather large, with twenty-some buildings. I just assumed that all UPS/Fedex deliveries were to the office. I guess I'm deserving of whatever happens when words like, "common sense" and "assumed" are used within proximity of a few paragraphs.
I think I'll continue to get stuff shipped to my office from now on to avoid what I'm sure is about to (if not already) happen.
Wish me luck.

BTW, the small package contains a 2G Arrow and an ALO cryoed mini/mini cable (for my Zune HD). My guess is the Zune remains nekked. We'll see.
