Awesome. I should have done the same when I lived in the Middle of Nowhere, Oregon. I ended up flat on my back quite a few times while trying to get out of the house.

I just don't fall :P

I've heard that these work well http://www.modells.com/product/index.jsp?productId=848788&CAWELAID=101768983, but Josh's idea is about 9000 times more BA.

If he has carpeted floors, the boots will rigidly couple him to the floor. That helps prevent distortion from vibrations.

My solution = $5 (or less if you don't need a box of 100) .. those booty chains are $20 wink_face.gif

But you're stuck with your boots like that for the entirety of the winter season. Don't get me wrong though, I love what you did with the place. Freakin' brutal.

Well if you slipped and fell through the ice, you could die happy knowing you've never heard Mahlers 5th so good through your portable system before!  Theres always a silver lining.

My personal solution was a pair of running shoes with sharp metal cleats - cheap at the local DAV.  I left them in Kansas City - ha!  Your solution is excellent, BTW.
