I am getting a technics 1200 but the seller wants to keep the cartridge for another table. What all do I need to know about cartridges on turntables as this is my first one. Do i just buy a cartridge (and it comes with a needle) and install it/ balance?
Is there anything else i will need?
Sound quality is the most important feature. I am a little bit of a basshead. Gonna be listening to mostly electronic music and rock.
I may mix down the road with this table so a cartridge that can take a little abuse would be nice.
How about a shure m44g?
