Hello dear head-fi'ers

I'm looking for a versatile dac. Atm I use it only with my desktop computer but in future I'll use it with laptops and other devices too. I'm totally lost with huge amount of options.

Grado hf2

Little dot I+

I was thinking something like:

Matrix dacs

Dac wow usb&spdif

udac

little dot dac_I

Any help is appreciated.

Take a look at the Cambridge Audio Dacmagic. I don't know of a more versatile DAC.

I haven't tried it but you should consider a V-Dac.

I'm a big fan of Keces, you might be able to find a good deal on it used.

nay on the uDac.  Don't care for it and in a year you'll be selling it.

So far, dacmagic, v-dac and little dot dac seem reasonable choices.

I had the DacMagic and to be honest with you I didn't think it was worth the markup.  But I'm more of a fan of fun and musical sounding DACs and headphones, so to each his own.

Have you checked out the Tube Magic D1 (mav-audio.com)? Plenty of ports, tube sound, can double as an amp (if needed in a pinch), and it has a really great price tag.
