Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread - Page 167

Does anyone know if the time necessary for repair is different from the manufacturing time? I sent mine back because the middrivers of the rightmonitor fail and I surely hope it will not take 16 weeks to get them back as I miss them a lot! Anyone experience with warrantyrepairs? Give me hope, please ;-)

From reading peoples impressions I understand that HM-901 easily beats the portable iDevice compatible DACs.

It's line out SQ is nothing short of stunning. I compared it to my huge, 12.5Kg heavy Audio-gd Ref 7.1 DAC and it's so close I can't believe it.

I read that you have SR-009 and hoped the Miracle would be of comparable SQ, so I expect you to value SQ highly and this is where the 901 comes in.

To be honest LarsHP, I don't use my portable setup that often, in fact I tend to only listen to it when I'm mowing my lawns, and even then I don't listen to it every time.
Like I've mentioned, if I want to hear the best from my Miracles, I just use them with my GS-Xmk2 / K-01.

I think it might depend a little what issue it is, but I think they had my Miracles for about two weeks (shipping not included) when I sent them back.

Was it a technical failure as well? I think there might be something wrong with the wiring. Two weeks would make me happy... Relatively of course.

No. When I tried to unplug the cable from the right earpiece, the cable plug broke. The socket was way too tight. When I then tested the socket with the other intact cable plug, the socket got pushed down into the shell and the titanium faceplate also moved a bit. AFAIK this was fixed without a reshell which saved some lab time.

Okay. Well, then I don't really understand why you have a portable amp for your iPod and in addition think about getting a DAC for it... To me this suggested that you wanted better SQ from your Miracle on the go. However, I can understand that there may be other considerations.

Because IMO no portable amp/source will sound as good as my GS-Xmk2/K-01, and that I don't use my portable setup that often, I guess there was no need for me getting a portable amp, but I like the build quality of Justin's amps so I just fancied the Pico Slim.
Also, I did get the UM Miracles to use mainly with my portable setup, but I also knew I'd be using them with my GS-Xmk2/K-01, in fact I listened to two of my Pink Floyd CD's last night with my Miracles / GS-X / K-01, and the SQ was simply amazing.

Regarding a portable DAC, I did say that I might get the AlgoRythm solo-R, but I can't say for sure I will, I just might.

I am not sure where the system is falling down. I've been waiting 13 weeks since order and payment for my Miracles, no sign of them even though I've been assured they arrived in Australia beginning of November and were sent straight to me...

Next week makes week 14 of waiting...

What's the longest some of you have waited for your Miracles? Please tell me they are worth the 14 bloody weeks of waiting...

Yeah, the waiting times are absolutely ridiculous and I was pretty pissed off that they didn't answer any of my emails, but they do sound great! I waited for 14 weeks I think.

I'm also on my 13th week of waiting after ordering and payment. I am also from Australia.

I'm trying to not think about when my miracles are coming..........

Just order from custom-iem.com. Stephen Guo answers every email. And the waiting time is 4 weeks between the lab receives impressions and sends you your CIEM.

I ordered the Miracles I have from UMUK and was told the wait time would be around 5 weeks, and that's how long I waited. I'm pleased to say they fit perfect and I'm also very happy with the SQ I'm getting from them.
The amps I'm using with them are, Pico Slim and GS-Xmk2.
Obviously the GS-X makes the Miracles sound the better of the two amps, but the Pico Slim also makes those CIEM's sound very good.

UM Aus seems to be 8 weeks slower...

+1 , i've said that many times yet no one read around before paying 1000$.... it took me 3 weeks to get them after the lab got my imps, this is the best way that people should follow.
