Do consider the DX100 also. I haven't heard the AK120 or the HM901, but I forgo all portable amps with the Miracles and go straight to the DX100. They synergize well together. Just for your consideration.
Is an additional amp necessary with DX100? I have a 2stepdance and the Miracle, but would consider to sell the amp for money for DX100. Thanks.

No, the DX100 does very well by itself.

For some reason, UM Aus is not answering any of my emails regarding my remould...

I had a similar experience at one stage. Their service can be awesome in one moment and nonexistent in another.

It's been 2 weeks and 3 emails... Come on UM!

UM labs in China is more responsive, but they don't seem to know too much about my order and there are quite a lot of communication issues.

Same experience here. About two weeks without an answer. I'm considering having add an extra layer of acrylic, but only if it doesn't take too long. They haven't answered my question about the time needed to add the extra layer.
Probably another 8-10 weeks, sigh. Although they are worth it,I'm enjoying them every single day since I received them! I don't want to live without them that long anymore...

Have you guys tried contacting them via headfi? I think they have some sort of rep here right?

Maybe they are so back logged they haven't checked emails lately to focus on their current work load? (I remember reading something earlier about the 8+ week waits times?). Although I never had a 2 week cease in communications with Heir. At one point it took them a little over a week to respond to me though.
