Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread - Page 70

@ wolfetan44
I find Miracle to be extremely genre versatile, much more than any full size or other iem I have heard. To me it's because the frequency response is so even and quite neutral. If anything it has a slight, and I really mean slight, V shaped response.

nice! this makes me more excited!!

I wonder how the highs of the Miracles fair with the 1plus2, which i find myself desiring for a bit more impact and weight

and especially the vocal timbres of these two.. since they both share the same qualities, not warm

Based on what you described, the Miracle is great because it is very spacious and airy. With folk it sounds just awesome. But I would say the Miracle is not for bassheads. The bass sounds wonderful in detail and texture and is punchy enough I think, but it is not boosted like some iems. Also, it is very transparent to the source, so some indie rock with dirty mastering may sound bad. The prints are vital, so just go to a professional who has already done many prints FOR IEMS.

I want it neutral!

Also, how long before I'd have to get impressions again? Because don't ears grow?

Interesting point wolfetan, also it seems gaining or losing weight might also effect the seal. Average Joe has a Treasure Chest of information on all things custom in his thread, might find it there...

"I am not an expert with impressions, but they do look complete. I have been told by different Audiologists that you ears can change enough in 6-24 months to require new impressions and a reshell. Since we are all unique, you will simply there is no telling how long yours will fit so that you are happy. You will put them in one day and find they are not fitting as well as they used to. That is when you would get new impressions and then send them in to be reshelled.

My T1's were built from 18 month old impressions. The left one is probably 98% OK, but the right one is only about 90% and it feels, just not right...So back they go for a reshell. Hopefully I am good for awhile.

Good Luck!

Eric"

it is a mail that i got from Eric ^^ hope this is good for you wolf :D

I wonder how many people didn't send their Miracles back for refit?

It seems almost everyone did so.

Wait, you mean there were three impressions ahead of yours only  for refit?

So there is a very high possibility to send back?

I first got my original ear tips for my Etymotic hf3's they fit perfectly. However over the next 18 months the right ear began to not fit well. Wen I ordered the T1's I used the original impressions and when the arrived I had the same issue as with the hf3 tips. With new impressions and a remold everything is ok again.

YMMV....

You might have gained weight in your "next 18 months."

It is said that gaining weight does affect a lot.

My Miracles fitted nicely from day one.

I would expect those with problems show up more often in these threads, than those who are happy and just smile with music in their ears ...

Oh

I was talking about refit issues. Not what exactly you are talking about.

They said mine should be done around 24th (they probably lied or mixed up. UM lab didn't get mine impressions) but they are not sure if i can receive it because they sent in a huge patch.

If you read UM websites carefully, you definitely will find some pictures that show you several big Fedex boxes :)

Yeah!

Once, I asked if anyone knows some Miracle's cons, but nobody is able to answer me with one or two perfect examples of cons
