I can't help but to chip in,

UM Aus has always had communication issues. Even from more than a year ago during the UM Global promo. They didn't reply my emails most of the time and I had to email them more than once over a span of a few months to which they finally replied. It seems that they have not learnt from their lesson.

I never advice anybody to go through them at all, rather go directly to UM labs or Stephen Guo at custom-iem.com

I agree. NEVER purchase things from UM Australia, go straight to UM lab and email Steven Guo.

I guess that I had to learn the hard way.

Oh, and if anyone viewing this thread is looking to buy a UM Miracle, there's someone selling theirs for $650 along with a Beats Audio Sapphire cable.

I'm getting a test dx100 this week to try with my Miracles. I'm really curious and will try to do a comparison with the Fiio X3 and later on the DX50. Then I'll decide wether to buy the dx100. I'm hoping the X3 will come out as winner as I already own it;-)

Sorry to break yhe news, but after you try the DX100, the X3 will seem like it's lacking many things. If you can't afford the DX100, don't try it.

I can confirm that my ears tell me the 1plus2 is better than the Miracle.

To me the 1plus2 combines the best of what both the Miracle & Merlin can do into 1.....

1plus2 and Miracle has different sound signature. With the stock cable 1plus2 has more bass than the Miracle but the Miracle has better quality. With the DHC Fusion cable the miracle sounds better than the 1plus2 and more musical than the 1plus2 with stock cable imo. Their tre and mid are similar quality. Honestly a ciem in this level can't say which is better which is worse, mostly depends on whether the sound signature suits you or not.

In fact I hope the improvement in soundquality over my X3 and Ipod/2Stepdance will justify spending something extra. I want my Miracles to be fully appreciated, but I'm willing to give the DX50 (and my wallet) a chance! The expectations of the DX100 are pretty high right now, so I hope it will meet them.

The DX50 certainly looks interesting.

Multiple owners of the miracles have confirmed that the 1Plus2 is indeed better. Of course preference can come into play here. But I'm talking over 5 owners.
