Up for sale is my three year old Single Power Extreme Platinum headphone amplifier. This is an upgraded transformer model, with preamp outs (rare on the Extreme). I am the original owner. For those unfamiliar, Single Power was once one of the most respected and desired headphone makers, but had a particularly disastrous ending - taking orders/payments not fulfilled, repairs promised and either not performed or shoddily done. I recommend doing some reading here, before bidding. That said my amp has always performed well (from low impedance - Grados - to high - Sennheisers) and certainly above what I'm offering it at (as head amp or pre-amp). This was priced at $2000 new with additional tubes added since. The only issues I've ever experienced are although there are three inputs, and all operational, only one can be plugged in at a time. When multiples are, they are equally weighted thus lowering input level of active input (there is no switch). This was as received and I never bothered fixing. Secondly, I had a hum on the preamp, that was eliminated with cheater plugs on amp and active monitors.
