Balanced upconversion on a phono preamp

Hey all!

I'd like to make full use of my balanced setup. Right now, I use my raysonic cd-128 in the balanced input of the einar sound vc-01i, outputting in my balanced AD2000s. However, my sl-1200 only has SE outputs on the arm's wiring. Right now I'm using a cambridge 540p phono preamp, outputting SE to the SE inputs of the einar vc-01i. What I'd like to do is have something convert the SE signal from directly from the cartridge, namely a SE->XLR converting phono preamp. The simaudio 310lp seems to input SE only and output XLR and SE, so I guess it must have some kind of converting into it, otherwise the negative and ground pins kind basically are wired together. However, it is out of my price range so I'd like to find something cheaper.

There is also this circuit I've stumbled across while searching on google:

I'm not skilled in engineering but it seems like it would be put in between the phono preamp and the headphone amplifier, isn't it?
