Can I do better than the Audio-GD FUN? - Budget $450

As the title says, is there a better DAC/AMP combo or separates than the FUN (earth/moon) for $450? I am currently using an Entec 203.2 DAC and SOHA tube hybrid amp. My current phones are the HD580. I really don't have any issues with my current setup other than wanting to see if newer components actually sound better and solid state versus my hybrid.

Thanks

May want to check out the NFB-11 from audio gd if they get their usb issue resolved, it utilizes the new Sabre chip and is on promo pricing @ $260.

I think the amp topology seems pretty rock solid on paper.

Other wise you might want to look at the Nuforce HDP, I havent heard this personally but someone recommended to me (as I am also looking into a new dac/amp combo) and said that it has great synergy with Sennheiser phones.

If you want to up the ante, the new DACMini by Centrance looks promising as does the HA-160D from Burson. There is always the Headroom Desktop Amp/dac combo @ the 750 mark also.

Thanks for pointing me to the 11. I ended up pre-ordering an NFB-12 tonight. I was afraid the 11 might be too dry and analytical and the 12 was $60 cheaper! Can't wait to compare to my current setup.
