Just got em delivered, took a break at Sbux and....WOW. VERY PLEASED with purchase, cant wait to hear them after 72hrs.

Edit: Back at work, setup is Yulong D100 to Tubemagic A1 running speakers via hybrid power but the HP out is 100% tube power (warm Mullard tubes).

Nah, I'm good with these. Just need something other than IEMs when on the move. I've got the Q701 and HE4 for stationary rigs :L3000:

Yeah, the more you listen to them the more you will appreciate them.  They'll get more comfy too.

Is there going to be a standard ESW11 or are you speaking about the Limited version?

I wish I knew how good this series of headphones were when the ESW10 Japan model was released; I would have snatched up a pair. Frankly, I'm just in love with the ESW9s, but I still hope a new version with similar voicing is released that offers tangible improvements.

You do not need to remove the felt. You can just poke four holes through it where the screws are.

Or just lift the felt.  The glue holding the felt down close to the edge of the baffle is tacky and "reusable".

Scored an ESW9 again.  :L3000:

Any mods to increase isolation on these puppies?

I love the sound on these, but they are becoming an increasing headache. One of the joint cases broke, so I ordered two replacements. Yet the screws that connect the joint cases to the hangers simply WILL NOT UNSCREW. To the point where I've nearly stripped both of them. Any ideas on how to get them out? Or anyone had a similar experience?

You might need to jam something between the screw and cup to help it out. It's definitely stripped if it just keeps turning, hopefully the new screws are a tiny bit larger..

Earpad swap.

But which earpads?  I have no idea.

Also bend the headband carefully for a tighter fit.

Did anyone have a weird lacquer/wood smell coming from inside their headphones when they bought it new? Mine seem to have a strong scent, slowly fading away now but still very apparent.

Not sure, maybe some of the DT1350 or Senn HD series pads? I'm not going to make the fit tighter by bending the headband... it looks super flimsy and I've got a big noggin to begin with.
