you can also get membership by making a donation this gives you access to all of the BOMs. the QRV08 cost me about 350 each with shipping I think, but I used AD825 and OPA827. plus I actually did organize an order from elfa for a few of the parts, that cost a bit in shipping, because I had to enlist a friend in the EU to order and then pass it onto me. the evox PPS films were hard to get, I also used upgraded linear tech ultra low noise references in the regulators

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

hey sorry guys i'll have to write my subjective assessment down again, I put together a post yesterday but accidentally hit the back button (return) and lost it all
Slim, last June the QRV07 board with postage was 328 Swedish kronor, or about $47 at current conversion rate. I ran up approximately another $160 for most of the parts from Digikey and Newark. I say approximately because I ordered in half a dozen batches, changing a couple items here and there. Recently on recommendation from Filburt (head-fier) I changed the opamps. I'd have to rummage through pdfs to see how much altogether. This does not include pot/attenuator (except for a cheap linear one I ordered but discovered I can't use) or case. I've got a good pot on order now. I did buy a cheap plastic case at Radio Shack just to get everything mounted and working, it cost only a few bucks for the perfect size, 5x7", but once I figure out just how it needs to be arranged I will design a nice one and order from frontpanelexpress.
If you want to save time I recommend just ordering off the Elfa site using Per Anders' BOM since it specifies most of the parts by Elfa part number. I spent an awful lot of hours trying to match specs and track down parts in the US. You get stuck with a EUR 40 minimum postal fee and maybe some customs duty but your time is worth something. I'm still not sure the sucker works as I have not been able to test voltage (I had assembly done professionally and they didn't bother to use their multimeter on it).
Do be aware that Per Anders specifies 230V transformers but we can't use them here. More money and time wasted while I figured out where to get replacements.
