EMU 0404 PCI - What is a worthy upgrade?

I'm looking for something that would be a good upgrade over my existing EMU 0404 PCI which I've used since 2005.

I'm actually using an X-Fi titanium in my main computer, and have the EMU 0404 in my server. The digital output from my X-Fi goes into the digital input of the 0404, and then from the analog out on the 0404 to the input on my Little-Dot. So I'm basically using the 0404 as a DAC at this point, since it's still quite a bit better than my X-Fi titanium on it's own.

I'm looking at the X-Fi Titanium HD and I like the idea of switchable OP-Amps, but does anyone have any other ideas?

I use all of the headphones in my signature, but for "speakers" I use either my Little-Dot II+ or my II++ as a preamp and feed that into both of my amps. One of the amps is a 240wpc Yamaha M-2 (1979) powering a pair of JBL L150 speakers (1979). The second amp is a 240wpc Yamaha P2201 (1976) powering a pair of JBL L100T speakers (1985).

I own the genelec 8030. I had the emu0404 pci and i went for the Matrix mini. I saw no difference.I beleive to see a wow change in sound i thing that u must buy more expensive speakers and more expensive dac . the changes at this level are minor.
