RS1 current status - Page 2

after trying literally almost everything at can jam, the RS1 is still my fav. I tried it in just about every setup where I tried another set of phones, just for comparison. There really is nothing like the RS1 outside of other Grados. I did like the K701 and 702, DT 880 and 990, and T1, but didn't really care much for anything else there. PS1 was too similar to RS1 when I put bowls on it to justify buying it. I think the only thing I didn't try was the JH13, the in ear ones. I liked the HD800 a lot better when it was hooked up to one of Todd's expensive tube amps than I did with previous setups I heard it with. I'd probably get one if it were under $500, as I still only moderately liked it. I didn't like any of the setups better with the RS1 when compared to my own. Unfortunately I still haven't heard the Joe Grado stuff or the R10, so I can't comment there, so RS1 is still king to me.
