Record clamps: Should I get one?

How important are record clamps for playing vinyl?  Are they really effective in improving the sound?  Are they worth the money?

I saw some on NeedleDoctor and the prices range from $25 to $1350!  http://www.needledoctor.com/Online-Store/Record-Clamps

By the way, I'm using the Rega P3 with Elys 2 cartridge and Graham Slee Amp 2 SE phono preamp.

Im not sure I hear it, but some people swear by clamps & weights.

Try the J.A Michell clamp. A 2lb weight on a "low mass" turntable makes no sense to me.

If it makes little difference, then I'd rather spend the money on more music.  I currently have a large list of vinyls I wanted to get.

Any other opinions on record clamps/weights?
