Isn't the shipping rate killing you?

Yes it is![]()
But how else can I get it, real headphone stands are awfully expensive
By the way. People with Audio technica headphones that have the wing system this stand will work. Instead of trying to hang your cans from the wires above the headphones just hook one of the pads on the wing system on the stand, and it works like a charm.

Truth. Liking the one the OP posted, might have to go to Home Depot and see if they have any of them.

If i were in the US, I would've already done that, but I'm in the Netherlands, no Home Depot and as far as I can see, really no alternatives for this here.
Yeah definitely a hassle.
I went back to my local HD to cop a couple more of the hose hooks for my other cans, but it looks like they're all sold out. Will try another store nearby or just order from Amazon. I would rather have the original design though.
Man, I wish I had a Home Depot near by.....I need a stand for my 325's
haha, I've been reading the forums for a short while, researching my next set of headphone, and that comment made me sign up. Sounds like this place is for me. I'm anal, OCD about my equipment, and learning to become a jr. audiophile. Not to hijack. Been listening on 5-7 year old Sony MDR-V6's that have been glued, taped, rubberbanded one too many times. One of the can supports has been broken for a few years. I've loved how good they sounded, and was disappointed with others i'd try from friends coworkers, etc. Needless to say i've put the ATH-M50's on my wishlist. Ran across a guy at work who was wearing a pair (ironically right when i was researching them) and he let me try them out for a while.
Enough about me, I will also get some sort of headphone stand since putting them down on the table all the time eventually cracks and wears through the earpad, where it's attached to the actual headphones.
Nice thread.
I just picked one up at my local Home Depot. They still had bunches of the old style (straight arms) in stock. A neat headphone stand. It's just tall enough for my HD600 (I have a smallish head so they aren't extended very far). Wish the stand was just a little bit taller. Does fine with my D2000 and Grados.
It'll be a handy stand to have at meets. And a handy stand to have at my desk so I don't have to lay the headphones down when I take them off. Might have to consider getting a second one.
The other things I use to hang my headphones at home are the spring clamps for woodworking from Home Depot clamped to the shelf above my desk and plastic closet storage hooks attached to the shelf supports on my desk. All of my headphone stands and hooks are available at Home Deopot. I wonder when I'll start buying actual audio gear from Home Depot?
This is really a creative idea to use hose hook as headphone stand....
Im just posting up to thank BluFalcon for sharing his wonderful find with the community. I bought three of these last night and they are perfectly functional and get the job done. Thanks again my friend.
Custom made from clay, both pieces are hollow.
I left the bottom very thick so it is sturdy, colors should have been different though.
Always happy to share a good thing.
Here is what I have been using lately; same hose rack type item. I really like this one because it distributes the headphone's weight on 2 contact points, the metal has a nice thick very non-slip rubber coating and it was only ~$5 for each at the local Lowes.
With smaller more portable cans, you can easily fit two headphone onto one stand. My HD 205 II and ATH-M30 fit perfectly onto one stand, but larger cans (my DT990s, ATH-M50 aor HD 280 Pro) pretty much take up the whole thing.
PS. My apologies for the poor quality pics, but that's all I can do at the moment. If you guys want a better look, I will try harder.
