So I cannot decide if I should buy the Cowon iAudio 9 or the Sony S Series Walkman.
I really don't care about eye candy, I only really care about sound quality. I listen to a wide variety of genres, but tend to lean towards metal some days. The vast sound options and legendary status of the Cowon players really draw me in, but the sony also has an EQ, bass boost, sound clarification, and noise cancelling (I think). But the Cowon appears to have WAY more options. I wonder if anyone has noticed if all the sound options on the Cowon (stereo enhance, 3d sound, mach3 bass, etc.) and the Sony (Clear Stereo, etc.) work well and are noticable or if they don't do anything. I plan on using Klipsch Image S4 in ear headphones, and am not currently planning on purchasing an amp.
