Which one?

Hey guys, I've been lurking this forum for a couple of days now reading through past threads. This is the first time I'm going to buy a headphone that isn't an Apple ear bud. So because of that I want to start small, no amps and etc. Just connect directly to my computer and (afterwards, if I can't bear listening to my Apple buds) for my iPod. I want something preferably in the 100-150 euro range. The following fit my criteria from what I read:

Shure SRH440 or the 840? I don't know what the differences are between these too..

Audio Technica ATH-M50

Beyerdynamic DT770

Type of music? Mostly hip hop right now, but I'm starting to get into some indie bands, but I listen a lot of different stuff. I don't really care for an overload on bass, it should be subtle. I think that's it, hopefully I've informed you guys enough. :)

The Shure 840 or M50 may do the trick with the 840 being the more neutral can to my ears. I found the DT770 Pro to be quite the BASS monster so that's probably not what your looking for. If you have the opportunity to audition them for yourself that would be best. If you have one close by, I'd stop by Guitar Center. When I went there they had all of the models you're researching. I don't know if they have an equivalent store in Europe or not.

I also wanted to know what the difference is between the 440 and 840 Shure's, I doubt there's really any. But thanks for your reply, I'm going to try them out tomorrow or Thursday and see which one I like best or if they even have them at the store. :)

So I went to the store today to see if they had the SRH440 or the AD ATH M50. To my luck they didn't have the ATH, I asked the guy that worked there and he said he never heard of it before, so yeaah I'm leaning towards the SRH440, it's only 100 euros which is pretty good. They also had the 840 but it's double the price, I don't want to buy something that expensive from the get go. 

I'm going to look for some reviews right now, but is it any good, the 440?
