Hello everyone! Questions about turntables !

Hello this is so far my first post, I'm 16 and love music and electronics and my record player, but I get distortion ecspecially on the highs and only on the inner groove, now I do know this is a limitation of the format, but you can drastically reduce it by adjusting the cartridge with a special protractor, but the problem is my headshell does not give the cartridge the range of motion I need to adjust it in order to follow the arced-line depicted on the protactor, could somone help me out, maybe I'm doing it wrong.

 You have not given much information. What is the turntable and the tonearm combination are you using. If by record player you mean an old fashioned turntable/amp/speakers all-in-one type thing then there may be no adjustment possible.

Well to update my cartridge went not long after this post, I bought a new one wich was able to be psotioned correctly now the distortion all though still prevelant has been minimized I will be buying a Shibata Stylus which as you probably know conforms to eVERY part of the groove ao the distortion will be probably 90% eliminated.
