Hello there.
My friend is about to buy a new player along with headphones. He listens mainly to baroque (harpsichord!) and classical music. Both indoor and outdoor, so isolation is needed. Headphones are the main priority, he'll also use them with his notebook (Intel 82801IB ICH9 HD sound card). I searched the forum but couldn't find any player recommendation, only headphones for classical music.
Here go the requirements:
Player:
- very good sound quality
- durable battery
- it will be used only for music, no video playback needed
- storage space about 8GB's or more (not necessary)
Headphones:
- quality is the main priority
- possibly compact (supra-aural? he doesn't want any IEM's)
- some isolation (because of outdoor usage)
I'm not sure what kind of money you have to pay in London to buy anything suitable, the lower the price, the better. My friend states he can spend the maximum of £80-90.
