So here is my current setup.
PC (Foobar2000 lossless FLAC source) -> iBasso D10 cobra -> Musical Paradise MP-301 tube amp -> Beyer DT990/600
I am looking to upgrade my DAC portion. The MP-301 amp is a really good performer and I am really happy with it. My budget for a DAC is probably under $200 (if possible). I am willing to splurge a little if I need to, but I am looking for a budget DAC.
My interests so far include the Audinst HUD-MX1, uDAC-2, nuForce ICON (DAC/AMP), Maverick USB DAC, HRT Music Streamer II or Audio-gd NFB-11.
Like I said I am mainly looking for a quility DAC. The uDAC-2 is tempting due to the size, price and the fact I might want to carry it around with me and use it with my laptop. I also have heard good things about the Music Streamer II and the Audio-gd NFB-11 has the Sabre32 chip which makes me want to try it.
This will probably be the DAC I will be using for at least a couple of years; so I would like to stay away from any FOM offerings.
Thanks in advance!
