Magnet size

I took the woofer out of the cabinet of my vintage speaker, and the magnet is pretty small, the speakers are rated at 40 watts. I have them hooked up to a A/V receiver, and I dont turn them up too high because I am afraid of blowing them, I think I need a better A/V receiver to "open them up".  I played them on an old generic10 watt stereo receiver and they sounded more dynamic..

And the point of this would be?

... To get around to asking for a good stereo amp recommendation perhaps? Or, as a more budget friendly take anywhere alternative, to begin a journey into headphone land!

My camera sucks , so no, the speakers sound better than a majority of some of the more expensive speakers I've heard, I'm just afraid of  blowing them...

Don't worry about picture quality. Would you please put something up?

No seriously, what is this thread about? Asking for advice? Showing of some speakers or what???

At the moment I doubt any pictures would help. Is there a question being asked here??

It's anyone's guess, are you asking about a magnet? maybe a new amp? whether you'll blow your speakers? Why they sounded better to you?? To open them up what you probably need is a flat screwdriver.wink.gif
