THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers) - Page 45

Just a few of my secret obsessions:

Very different from what they play now.

At the end of this, I don't think I've ever heard so much effort put into such a soft voice.

She still has a little ways to go in being delicate, but still a very pleasing voice.

Amy Lee and Tracy Chapman, enough said!

Always liked Maura O'Connell's interpretations - she used to sing in De Dannan, with Mary Black (also a fantastic singer, in her time)

Susan Tedeschi has a great, soulful, voice:

And her hubby, Derek Trucks, is a fine guitar player - a dynamite combination!

man do i love her voice..

both her voice and her musical compisition remind me of a much refined fiona apple..   my list of must have music is getting out of control

oh MAN, i'm listening to more of her and she's AWESOME.. thanks so much!

I love when one artist on youtube leads you to another..  never heard this woman before but she sounds very promising. Freaking awesome!

dang! this is definitely my favorite thread on head-fi!!!

with Ray Lamontagne - one of my favorite Male singers.. crap quality, but still sounds magical

anyone who duets with ray is mighty fine in my book.

Alison Krauss  --  Never mind the lyrics; it's all about the voice... happy_face1.gif

That Lisa Hannigan is quite nice, actually, thanks

Eddie Reader is rarely mentioned but she's great and, like Alison Krauss, is always well-engineered/recorded
