Thanks for that, I've been meaning to buy some of those 'Best Audiophile Voices' albums for quite some time now, and I hadn't actually heard that track.

 

'Dave's True Story' is a rubbish name for a Jazz duo (comprising David Cantor and singer Kelly Flint), but I really like Kelly's singing, so thanks for drawing my attention to her!

The lyrics to this track are miserable, and yet... in spite of that, I've long liked it's stark simplicity, brutal honesty, and heartfelt/'real' delivery:

its true, they sound very similar... listen for your self..   btw, yet another singer that sounds a bit like lisa hannigan... i guess its the accents... except that lisa hannigan is better ;-)
