not enough respect for Barbara Streisand!

No one comes close to shifting as many albums as this lady.   All time greatest.  And the fact she is one of the greatest actors .....  They dont make em like they used to..

Brings emotion to her songs like no other

Madonna has probably some twice as many albums as her. I wont even talk about quality vs quantity...

And despite her Oscar I dont think she's one of the 'greatest actors'.

Guys, this thread has remained positive, broad-minded, and mutually-respectful, for well over a thousand posts. I'd really appreciate it if we could keep it on track, and keep any personal differences of opinion private.

Hope you're both OK with this suggestion/request.

All the best.

Yeah, thanks for that one, oofie810, I like her too. Slightly reminiscent of Joss Stone (who I also like), methinks.

If you're in the mood for some light pop, New Zealand's Bic Runga might fit the bill:

And Lene Marlin (Norway) is not dissimilar in pop values:

or Tina Arena (Australia):

Lzzy Hale's (Halestorm) voice is inhuman. She is simply unbelievable, especially live. It's just too bad the songs she sings weren't better...
