MINI 3 Current Problem

Hi,

 

I just finished building a mini3 amp from AMB Labs and when I checked the current, it was 80 mA. It is suppose to be 25 mA according to the quiescent current check on the website. Any advice on why my mini3 amp reads 80 mA?

Most likely is an error you made when building it. Look for solder bridges, cold solder joints, opamps installed correctly etc. Perhaps you've destroyed an opamp in the process. A properly built Hi-Perf Mini3 draws ~25mA quiescent current. Mine draws 24.2mA.
