I use MediaMonkey for organization, tagging, and probably 80% of my listening. I use foobar2000 for stuff where gapless playback is critical, especially on things with short track lengths because MediaMonkey's gapless playback is a little wonky.
The last 5 I listed are Linux compatible. Plus I don't run Linux so I tried my best to find Linux Media programs. Default to "Other" if you feel so inclined.
